I love flowers and I love working with people. Passionate, romantic, a bit of a day dreamer and a lover of the subtle fine detail in everything. It doesn’t seem that long since I started on my flower journey but it’s over twenty years now and I have worked in many aspects of the flower trade. My craft has taken me on a journey that has been rewarding and diverse.
Moody Blooms was set up after I left university. The family business is retail floristry, but I wanted to do things “my way”. Fast forward a few years and after meeting my now husband, I relocated to Kent. A brief flirtation with a career change left me yearning for flowers and so I jumped back into floriculture.
Over the past twenty years, I’ve had the privilege to work within many diverse and varied aspects of the industry including teaching floristry, as a designer of bouquets for major high street and online retailers, as a floral stylist on photographic shoots, running workshops and demonstrating to fellow flower enthusiasts, designing and creating event flowers and working with private clients to design and create their wedding flowers. A wealth of experience, an ability to listen and understand a client’s vision are what makes for a great working relationship and happy customers.
It is a varied, diverse and rewarding path that I walk, and I’d love to share it with you!
