I love flowers and I love working with people. I’m passionate, romantic, a dreamer, love the fine detail that is there in everything & still believe in fairy tales. Guess what? I’ve got my dream job!

I set up Moody Blooms after leaving university. The family business was & still is retail floristry so I guess I’ve always been involved in flowers but I wanted to do things “my way”.

As a young florist I immersed myself in the industry and soaked up all I could learn. Even though I’d grown up with the trade, I put myself through floristry qualifications at Reaseheath Agricultural College whilst setting up my own retail floristry business aptly named Moody Blooms.

Fast forward a few years and I made the decision to sell up & follow my heart to Kent. After a brief flirtation with a career change, the lull of the horticultural trade was far too strong and I found myself again working with flowers.

Over the past fifteen years I have had the privilege to work within so many aspects of the horticultural industry including running my own retail florist, teaching floristry at Hadlow College, as a consultant developing bouquets for major high street retailers, as a stylist working on photographic shoots, running workshops, demonstrating to fellow flower enthusiasts, designing & creating event flowers and working closely as a freelance florist with private clients to design & create their wedding flowers.

Have a look at some of my work in the Gallery.
